Autódromo Internacional do Algarve is an ultra-modern race facility in Portugal and one of Europe’s finest racetracks. It was opened in 2008 and immediately impressed with its mix of low-and high-speed turns and constant elevation changes. Comparisons to a mini-’Ring and Spa are accurate, especially the demanding downhill run through the first turns and the blind rise through turn 4. Width and hard braking zones mean you can stick a pass here too. It’s a rollercoaster ride once you get your rhythm going.
