Kazan is used for regular team football by the best teams, in the Russian league and European club matches. The Kazan Arena hosts the 2017 Confederations Cup and 6 games during the 2018 World Cup.

Moscow Central was built in the place of the old Dynamo Stadium for the 2018 world cup. However, due to time constraints it was not included on the final host list.

Moscow North is used for regular team football, in the Russian league. The Arena Khimki Stadium has hosted Champions League matches, Europa League matches and the 2009 Russian Cup Final.

Moscow South is used for regular team football, in the Russian league and European matches. The VTB Arena replaced the older Dynamo Stadium, is hosting the 2019 Euro League Basketball Final.

Moscow West is used for regular team football in the Russian league. The Spartak Stadium will host 4 games during the 2017 Confederations Cup and 4 games during the 2018 World Cup.

Nizhny is used for regular team football, in the Russian league, located in Nizhny Novogorod, in Russia. The Nizhny Novogorod Stadium will host 6 games, during the 2018 World Cup.

Rostov is an association football stadium in Rostov-on-Don, Russia. It is one of the venues for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. It also hosts FC Rostov of the Russian Premier League.

Samaras is a football stadium in Russia. The stadium is one of the venues for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. It will also host FC Krylia Sovetov Samara of the Russian Premier League.

St. Petersburg is used for regular team football, in the Russian league. The Krestovsky Stadium hosts 4 games during the Confederations Cup and will host 7 games during the 2018 World Cup.

Sochi will be hosting 5 games during the 2018 World Cup Finals. The Fisht Stadium hosted the 2014 Winter Olympics and will also host the 2017 Confederations Cup.

Yekaterinburg is a football stadium in the city of Yekaterinburg in Russia. It is the home ground of Russian Premier League and the country's oldest football club FC Ural Yekaterinburg. It is one of 12 venues in 11 host cities for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
